Raleigh, NC on Nov 7, 2023 – The Geography Department at UNC Chapel Hill is delighted to announce the showcase of recently published books by our esteemed faculty at the City GIS Day event, held on this Tuesday at Raleigh Union Station. The event not only highlighted the scholarly achievements of our faculty but also celebrated the remarkable success stories of our alumni who have excelled in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
During the event, Jun Liang, a member of our geography faculty, had the opportunity to reconnect with several graduates from our department. These alumni, who once studied under the guidance of our faculty, are now making significant contributions to the GIS departments of both the city and county.
