The Development Geography Specialty Group’s Gary Gaile Award is a travel grant that supports research in development geographies. I am using the grant to aide my work (i.e. archival collection, interviews, participant observation) on gentrification and urban redevelopment in the Third Ward, a historically-black community in Houston, Texas.
