Geography major Taylor Nelsen won first place in GIS day map competition

In Nov 18, 2015’s GIS day event, which was co-sponsored by Geography department and Davis Library, Tim Stallmann, who graduated from geography’s master program, did an excellent presentation on “Mapping for Social Chang”, followed by a map competition, which was open to all students in UNC-CH. Dr. Gray receives NIH grant for the project “Climate, Population Health, and Well-being over Time”

The new NIH grant is a 3-year grant, and the title is “Climate, Population Health, and Well-being over Time”. Dr. Gray’s collaborator is Valerie Mueller at IFPRI, and the short abstract is below.
