Kriddie Whitmore has received a Student Research Grant from the Society of Wetland Scientists. Her proposal was titled “Carbon Emissions from Small Wetlands in a High-Elevation Tropical System.” This grant will provide funds for her field season in Ecuador this summer in which she will collect Carbon Dioxide and Methane emission rates from small wetlands of the Paramo, a high elevation grassland ecosystem of the Andean Mountains.
