This award will support Lara’s developing dissertation project, “Managing Life and Environment in Post-Conflict Guatemala.” She will be collaborating with the Toj Coman Women’s Collective, in the highlands of Guatemala. Lara’s proposed dissertation aims to develop a collaborative research program that focuses on everyday life events as a way to understand the localized effects of climate change, and how indigenous women develop local natural resource management practices to face environmental change in Toj Coman.
