A group of UNC geography graduate students, led by Dr. Erika Wise, attended a Climate Change workshop in London, February 19 & 20, as part of a series of workshops between Geography departments at King’s College London and UNC-Chapel Hill. Students presented on their research covering a range of perspectives related to the drivers, adaptation, and mitigation of climate change. In April, the King’s College London students are scheduled to visit Chapel Hill to extend this collaboration and visit our campus to learn more about climate change research in the Triangle Area. The event will include researchers from various local institutions and backgrounds, reflecting both physical and social aspects of climate change. UNC Geographers are delighted to have the change to deepen engagement with our colleges in KCL to collectively study climate change.

UNC Geographers and King’s College London Geographers share knowledge on climate change, and have some fun!
