Graduate student Mark Ortiz recently traveled to Houston, Texas to attend the Climate Reality Project’s Leadership Corps Training. The Climate Reality Project was founded in 2006 by Nobel Laureate and former U.S. Vice President Al Gore to take the climate change conversation forward after the release of his Academy-Award winning film An Inconvenient Truth. Mark – and over 600 other Climate Reality Leaders from 50 countries – learned about the state of climate science and policy from Vice President Gore and a team of leading scientists and policy experts during the three-day training.
