Sarah Schmitt was awarded a grant from the Critical Zone Observatory (CZO) Network and the Science Across Virtual Institutes (SAVI) Program.  The NSF-funded CZO SAVI program supports international research by graduate students and post-doctoral scholars that will advance critical zone science throughout their careers.

Sarah’s proposal on “The Role of Tropical Fog in Critical Zone Water and Soil Water Movement” is part of her dissertation research in Galapagos and Ascension Islands.  She works with Dr. Diego Riveros-Iregui.
